Kerlinka is a restaurant first, and our events are here to make a good night even better. Across the season we run a varied programme of tasting dinners, drinks evenings, live music and relaxed social nights — all built around the food and the room you already love.

Smokehouse Tasting Dinner

A relaxed evening working through the best of our smokehouse. Expect a starter, several smoked tasting portions, seasonal sides and a dessert to finish, with an optional drinks pairing.

A night for steak lovers. Choose your grilled main, pair it with seasonal sides and a house sauce, and finish with a dessert. An optional wine pairing is available on the night.

Cocktails & Barbecue Evening

A laid-back night pairing small barbecue-style plates with a selection of our cocktails and non-alcoholic pours. Easy, social and made for good company. Please enjoy responsibly — non-alcoholic options are always available.

A warm evening of dinner, drinks and soft live blues. Order from the menu while the music plays — relaxed and unhurried, never a nightclub.

Chef's Grill Table

A shared-table evening built around the grill. Start with shared plates, work through a run of grill dishes and seasonal sides, and finish with dessert — all served family-style down a communal table.

Social Poker Evening

A relaxed, friendly card night for guests who enjoy a bit of table-side fun alongside dinner and drinks. It’s a social evening, not a gambling one — the focus stays on good company, good food and a bit of light entertainment.

Start time: 6:30 pm
Format: Casual, social card evening — one small part of our wider programme
Included: Reserved seating, a welcome drink and a small smokehouse plate
Price: A$25 per person — an event participation fee covering reserved seating, event organisation, a welcome drink and a small smokehouse snack. It is not a stake, wager or buy-in, and no cash prizes are offered.

Capacity: Limited to 30 guests

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book events in advance?

Some events require advance registration and others don’t — it’s noted against each event. For paid and limited-capacity evenings, we strongly recommend booking ahead.

Can I visit Kerlinka just for dinner?

Absolutely. You’re always welcome to come in for our regular menu, with no event required. The events simply add something extra to the calendar.

Are all events paid?

No. We run a mix of free evenings with normal menu ordering, fixed-price dinners, ticketed tasting events and small paid social nights. The price (or ‘free entry’) is listed with each event.

Can I register several guests?

Yes. Just enter the number of guests on the registration form and we’ll do our best to seat your group together, subject to availability.

What happens if an event is full?

If an event has reached capacity, we’ll let you know and, where possible, offer a spot on a waitlist or suggest an alternative evening.

Can I cancel an event booking?

Yes — please contact us as early as you can. Cancellation and any refund conditions for paid events are set out in our Terms and Conditions.

Is poker the main focus of Kerlinka?

Not at all. Kerlinka is, first and foremost, a modern smokehouse and steak restaurant. The Social Poker Evening is just one occasional, casual social event within a much broader programme of food, drinks and music — the restaurant always comes first.
