These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Kerlinka website and to dining, enquiries and events provided by Kerlinka. Please read them carefully. By using our website or booking with us, you agree to these terms.

These terms govern the information on this website, our restaurant services, and our event registrations and evenings. They apply alongside any specific terms provided for a particular event.

Restaurant services

Kerlinka is a modern smokehouse and steak restaurant in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. We provide dining, drinks and occasional evening events.

Website information

We aim to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but content may change without notice. Menu items, events and prices are examples and may vary.

Menu information

Dishes, ingredients and availability may change based on season and supply. Menu descriptions are provided as a guide.

Prices and currency

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD, A$) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices may change from time to time.

Restaurant enquiries

Enquiries submitted through our contact form or by phone or email are handled by our team. Submitting an enquiry does not create a confirmed booking unless we confirm it with you.

Event information

Details for each event — including format, inclusions, price and capacity — are provided on the Events & Evenings page and may be updated as needed.

Event registration and confirmation

Submitting an event registration form is a request only. It does not automatically confirm your place. A booking is confirmed only once Kerlinka confirms it with you, and confirmation depends on availability and event capacity.

Event capacity

Some events have limited capacity. Where an event is full, we may offer a waitlist or an alternative evening where possible.

Paid and free events

We run both free evenings (with standard menu ordering) and paid events. Any participation fee is described with the event. For the Social Poker Evening, any participation fee is an event participation fee covering hospitality and event organisation — it is not a stake, wager, buy-in or gambling payment.

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

If you need to cancel a paid event booking, please contact us as early as possible.
We may reschedule or cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control; where we do, we’ll contact registered guests.
Refund conditions for paid events will be handled fairly and in line with your rights under applicable Australian consumer law.

Your rights under Australian consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.

Guest responsibilities and venue conduct

We ask all guests to behave respectfully towards our team and other guests. We reserve the right to refuse service or entry in line with our responsibilities as a licensed venue and applicable law.

Food, drink and allergen information

We’re happy to answer questions about ingredients and dietary requirements. While we take care, we operate a busy smokehouse kitchen and cannot guarantee that any dish is free from specific allergens.

Alcohol

Kerlinka is a licensed venue. We serve alcohol responsibly and in accordance with the law, and we may refuse service where appropriate. Non-alcoholic options are always available.

Photography and event media

We may occasionally take photographs or video at events for promotional purposes. If you’d prefer not to appear, please let a staff member know on the night.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, branding and images — belongs to Kerlinka or its licensors and may not be used without permission.

Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Website availability

We aim to keep the website available and working but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.

We’re not responsible for failure or delay in providing services due to events beyond our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.

We may update these terms, our events or our menu from time to time. The current version will always be available on this website.

Poker-related events

To be clear: Kerlinka is primarily a modern smokehouse and steak restaurant. Poker-themed social evenings, where offered, are occasional entertainment events within a wider restaurant programme. This website does not provide online poker or any real-money gambling service, and Kerlinka does not operate a casino or gambling establishment. No gambling licence is claimed or implied.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
